The Fores SL-76 lantern is a handcrafted piece from Gifu, Japan, made with traditional Mino washi paper. Designed to emit warm, ambient light, it enhances any interior with its elegant, handmade shade. Each lantern is produced at the Suwa factory in the scenic Mino region, using time-honored techniques in paper making, woodworking, and assembly. The standard cord is black, with other colors available in-store. An energy-efficient E27 LED bulb (2700K) is included.

I bought this Fores SL-76 lantern for my living room, and it’s beautiful. The washi paper feels delicate yet durable, and the warm LED light creates such a cozy atmosphere. At 64cm tall, it fits perfectly in my space without overwhelming it. The craftsmanship is evident, though the price feels a bit steep for what’s essentially a paper lamp. Still, it’s a lovely accent piece. Og anunoby would probably love this too if he’s into ambient lighting.
